A Day in Segovia

This Sunday, I spent about 5 hours in the beautiful city of Segovia. I have been wanting to go for some time now and I finally pushed myself to explore. Luckily, Segovia is super close to Madrid, making it the perfect day trip.

The city was a lot more populated than I had imagined. It was full of tourists in the city center and locals in the surrounding areas. There was so much more to do and see than I originally anticipated. Some of the attractions, like the Church, weren’t open to the public so just keep that in mind when planning your visit. Luckily the weather was perfect so I didn’t mind that most my time here was spent walking around outside. Also, Segovia requires no planning. My friend and I just walked around following our intuition and we somehow found everything we wanted to see.

TRANSPORTATION

It only took 30 minutes by train so it makes the perfect day trip if you live in Madrid or are just visiting! It cost $27 but if you want to save money you can take the bus for $10 it just is a 1.5hr ride instead. Once we got off the train we took a $2 bus ride to the town center but they also have taxis available!
